Proven Academic Success!

We differ from other Boys & Girls Clubs in that academics is a primary focus in everything that we do. We believe in academic achievement as a means to great futures! Each day our members participate in Power Hour, a comprehensive homework help and tutoring program. We also incorporate high-yield learning activities and hands-on demonstrations to engage our members and keep them focused on academic success. Our efforts to foster academic improvement produce real results! Nearly 50% of our members make the A/B honor roll each 9-week grading period, and our members have a 99% graduation/promotion rate.
The Karl E. Peace Center for Academic Advancement was dedicated on August 30, 2011 in honor and recognition of the contributions of Dr. Karl E. Peace. Dr. Peace has long been known for the vital role he has played in community leadership and for his deep personal commitment to education and public health. The Karl E. Peace Center for Academic Advancement serves as the umbrella for all academic programs provided by the Boys & Girls Club of Bulloch County. These programs are designed to raise the academic proficiency of Club members by helping youth make positive and productive choices about their education. Under our education programs, our members develop healthy habits in completing homework assignments, receive individualized tutoring, are challenged by targeted instruction and are encouraged to pursue paths to productive careers by exploring post-secondary education.
