program impact

The graphs below demonstrate the impact that the Club’s educational programs have on its members.

The above graph indicates that during the 2006-2007 school year, children who attended the Boys & Girls Club more frequently had a higher GPA than those who attended less frequently.  The numbers at the bottom of the graph indicate the range of days Club members attended the B&GC.

The above graph is a comparison of GPA between Club members and children of the same socio-economic background who do not attend the Boys & Girls Club.  The graph indicates that Club members’ GPA’s are higher than non-Club members (of the same socio economic background).

This graph shows that over half of the teenagers surveyed (61%) believe that having sex as a teenager can cause health problems.

This graph shows that over half of the teenagers surveyed (62%) believe that abstinence until marriage helps to develop healthy and stable relationships.

This graph shows that over half of the teenagers surveyed (65%) are confident that they have the necessary skills to refuse sexual advances from other people.
