Dr. Karl E. Peace

The Center for Academic Advancement is named in honor of Dr. Karl E. Peace, Ph.D.M.S., the Senior Research Scientist and Professor of Biostatistics at Georgia Southern University's Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health.
Dr. Peace is an accomplished scientist who has made it his mission to create opportunities for promising researchers. Born into an uneducated, share-cropping family in Baker County, Georgia, he was the first in his family to graduate from high school.
